The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home.
- Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of nursing, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team. May not alter the plan of care.
- Instructs the patients family in the care of the patient and maintenance of a healthy environment for the patient.
- Observes, records, and reports to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition daily.
Responsibilities of the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medication to residents in accordance with their care plan.
- Perform treatments, as assigned per physician’s orders, within scope of practice.
- Accurately report and record the resident’s condition and care including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change.
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by Unit Manager, Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Qualifications of the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse
- Ability to work independently
- Computer knowledge.
- At least 2 years of experience
License:
- Must have an Active LPN license.
Compensation: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
