As a NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION DRIVER,
- You are responsible to transport passengers between medical centers in a time effective manner.
- Follow routes accordingly
- Account for, and adapt to, unexpected situations like weather conditions and traffic.
- Keep proper logs of hours on the road, miles driven, and fuel spent, following all company, state and federal regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle, working order; report all mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Observe and report all defects, accidents, and violations.
- Adhere to company guidelines while interacting with customers and serve as a brand advocate.

We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Non-Emergency Transportation Drivers to join our team and help us provide a safe, comfortable, and reliable transport service for our clients.
Job Summary:
As a Non-Emergency Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for transporting clients to and from scheduled destinations in a safe and timely manner. You will assist clients with getting in and out of vehicles, ensuring their comfort and well-being during transit, and providing an excellent customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and other destinations.
- Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring they are safely seated and secured.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the vehicle at all times.
- Monitor traffic conditions, plan routes, and arrive at appointments on time.
- Maintain accurate records of client trips, including mileage, time, and destinations.
- Follow all safety protocols and transportation regulations.
- Ensure that the vehicle is fueled, clean, and in good working condition.
- Provide timely communication with clients and their families regarding pick-up and drop-off times.
- Be a positive and respectful representative of Cooks Home Assistance Care LLC while interacting with clients, family members, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation or related fields preferred.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges and provide physical support if needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and map applications.
- Background check and drug screening required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Must be able to lift and assist clients in and out of vehicles.
- Ability to assist with mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers) as required.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and reach to perform vehicle maintenance checks
Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
