Seeking CAREGIVERS for 4-HOUR SHIFTS

We are currently seeking Caregivers to provide support and assistance to elderly clients during FOUR-HOUR shifts – some morning shifts, some in the afternoons, some on weekends.
About the Clients:
- Most of our clients are in the Sarasota-Bradenton area.
- Some of our clients face cognitive challenges such as dementia, or physical challenges such as Parkinson’s.
- Some of our clients remain mostly independent and take care of themselves in the bathroom but need companionship, light housekeeping, laundry help, maybe some cooking.
- Others need significant help with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing and incontinence. Some are fall risks.
Responsibilities:
- Tending to clients with a wide variety of needs -- some are mobile and able to manage their bathroom needs. Others may use a walker or wheelchair and need help with bathing and toileting. (We assign according to a caregiver's preferences.)
- Monitoring a client’s condition while providing companionship and emotional support.
- With some clients, meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Light housekeeping duties because clients may no longer be able to tidy up their homes.
- Accompanying client to appointments or outings as needed.
- Reporting any changes in the client's condition to the care management team.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients and their families.
- Dependability and trustworthiness with a strong work ethic.
- Valid Florida driver's license and a reliable vehicle (with current registration and insurance).
- A “Level II” background clearance. We can guide you in securing this if you do not have it.
- A lack of any felony convictions.
Wage:
- Our starting rate is $17.00/hour. It can vary in the case of a difficult client.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
