Looking for Meaningful Work That Fits Your Life?
If you have a caring heart and a desire to help others — we’d love to hear from you.
Close To Home Caregivers is growing! We’re adding to our team to prepare for new clients, and right now, we’re looking for compassionate individuals to work a variety of shifts in the general VENICE area. These shifts can range from 4-6-hrs to 10-12-hr shifts. We also need caregivers for Weekends and Overnights.
Why Join Us?
Because we understand caregiving — we’re an agency run by caregivers. We respect your time, your preferences, and your need for a good client match. If you’re happy, our clients will be too.
Who Are Our Clients?
Some are located in the Venice-Nokomis-North Port area, others in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. Their needs vary:
- Some need help with mobility, personal care, and day-to-day routines.
- Others simply need a kind presence overnight — someone to help with small tasks, share conversation, or lend a hand with meals or laundry.
- Some face challenges like dementia or Parkinson’s, while others are relatively independent but need peace of mind that someone’s there.
We match caregivers with clients based on skills, preferences, and comfort level.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide safety, comfort, and companionship
- Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting (based on your preferences)
- Help with light housekeeping and meal prep
- Offer medication reminders
- Monitor clients overnight and report changes to our care team
- Accompany clients to appointments if needed
What We’re Looking For:
- A warm, patient, and compassionate personality
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Clear communication and respect for clients and their families
- A valid Florida driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (with current insurance and registration)
- A Level II background check (we’ll help if you don’t have this yet)
- No felony convictions
- Previous caregiving experience is a plus — but not required! We provide training.
Pay:
Starting at $18.00/hour, with some flexibility in certain circumstances.

We are a company run by caregivers not business managers. Our mission is to provide superior care and safety for our clients ... but also to retain our caregivers by keeping their needs and preferences uppermost in our scheduling. We try to find shifts that match their preferences, and clients that fit their skills and comfort level. In hiring, we look for caregivers who are compassionate, well-trained, reliable and vigilant. If you are new to caregiving but are empathetic and responsible, and you enjoy helping others, we will train you.
Professional caregivers go by many names: homemakers, home care aides, home health aides, certified nursing assistants, personal care assistants, direct care workers. No matter the name, what we all have in common is a calling to care for people in the comfort of their own homes or assisted-living facilities.
This agency is independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the agency, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this agency. All inquiries about employment at this agency should be made directly to the agency location, and not to Home Care Evolution Corporate.
