We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DSP (Direct Support Professional) Caregiver to join our team during day hours. This position is pivotal in providing essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve a higher quality of life through daily assistance and companionship. As a DSP Caregiver, you will work closely with individuals, fostering their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.We value a person-centered approach, prioritizing the unique needs and preferences of each individual in your care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans, promoting the social and emotional development of our clients. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities during the day hours
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in social and recreational activities
  • Implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Observe and document client progress and any significant changes in behavior or health
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the quality of life for clients
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in caregiving preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a commitment to client care
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is preferred
