Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document client health and progress, reporting any changes to the supervisor.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Administer medications and assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations while providing care.
- Work flexible hours, including long shifts, to meet client needs.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid HHA or PCA certification in New York State.
- Previous experience in home health care or a similar role is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts.
- Basic understanding of medication administration and health monitoring.
- Must pass background checks and health screenings.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
