Job Title: Non-Emergency Transportation Driver & Landscape Services Assistant (Home Health Care)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Non-Emergency Transportation Driver to join our home health care team. In this role, you will provide safe and reliable transportation for patients to and from appointments, and other errands. Additionally, you will assist with landscape services at client homes on an as-needed basis, ensuring the outdoor areas are well-maintained and safe. This position requires a combination of driving skills, customer care, and basic landscaping abilities to support our patients in a holistic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Non-Emergency Transportation Driver Duties:

  • Safely and courteously transport patients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other healthcare-related destinations.

  • Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety, including the use of mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers) when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate transportation logs, including patient pickup/drop-off times and any special instructions.

  • Ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., blankets, water, emergency kit).

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring the safety of patients and others on the road.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical personnel to coordinate transportation needs.

  • Report any maintenance or safety issues with the vehicle promptly.

Landscape Services Assistant Duties (As Needed):

  • Perform light landscaping tasks at client homes, including but not limited to lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, edging, and raking.

  • Help maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing outdoor environment for clients by performing seasonal landscaping duties.

  • Assist with the planting, watering, and general upkeep of gardens and flower beds.

  • Safely operate landscaping tools and equipment, following all safety protocols.

  • Ensure the yard and outdoor areas are clear of any hazards, ensuring a clean and tidy environment.

  • Work as needed, with flexibility depending on the season and client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Previous experience in non-emergency transportation or caregiving is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tasks, tools, and equipment.

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient, with the ability to provide exceptional care to patients.

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying work schedules.

  • Physical ability to perform landscaping tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating equipment.

Work Schedule:
This position is primarily focused on non-emergency transportation, with additional landscape services required as needed. Flexibility is key, as work hours may vary based on transportation schedules and seasonal landscape needs.

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
