Benevolent Hearts Home Care provides specialized dementia training focused on creating more positive interactions between clients and caregivers in the home care setting.
At Benevolent Hearts Home Care, we are building a specialized team of caregivers who understand that behaviors are communication. Our goal is to help caregivers develop the skills and confidence needed to create calmer, more successful interactions with clients living with dementia.
We're looking for caregivers who are comfortable supporting seniors living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory loss, sundowning, wandering, and other dementia-related behaviors.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one care for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
Use redirection, validation, and other dementia-friendly communication approaches
Support clients experiencing cognitive and behavioral changes
Create meaningful engagement and companionship
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
Monitor changes in condition and communicate concerns to the care team
Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols
Requirements
Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience with experience supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias.
Comfortable supporting clients with memory loss, dementia-related behaviors, wandering, sundowning, and resistance to care.
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
Ability to pass a background screening

She leads monthly in-service sessions focused specifically on caregiver wellbeing, because we know this work can be demanding and we want to make sure you’re taken care of too.
Compensation
Your starting pay is based on your experience and skill set, with CNAs receiving an additional bump. From there, your pay is not fixed: as you complete training levels and grow your skills, your hourly rate grows with you.
You also earn PTO through completing training, and after one year you’re eligible for our 401k with a matching program. If you refer another caregiver who joins the team and works 80 hours, you earn a $250 referral bonus.
