We are seeking a Caregiver Lead to join our team who is able to remain professional in ALL scenarios. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors by enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and reliable. CHHA Lead is a position with combined responsibilities as a Certified Home Health Aide along with office duties. This unique role involves providing personal care to clients in their homes while also managing various office tasks. On-call is when an employee is required to be available to work on short notice. It could mean being on call during regular work hours. During on-call duty, employee can be at home, at work, or elsewhere while awaiting a possible call.
If on call employee is not on assignment, he/she is still required to be available to work if needed. It means that the employee can be called into work between agreed upon working hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Being available to respond to workplace demands at any time during a set period.
- Handling unexpected issues that may arise.
- Being ready to work when called upon, even outside regular work hours.
- Flexible personal schedules willing to work Live-in, Mornings, Nights, Weekends or Holidays as needed.
- Waiting to respond to assignments, particularly if you're waiting at a designated station.
- Involves assisting members of the team or coworkers on short notice.
- Providing client stabilization, assistance with walking and transferring
- Preparing meals, assisting client with eating and cleaning up meal-related items
- Providing medication reminders, appointment reminders & accompanying clients to appointment or social outings
- Performing light housekeeping task (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, etc.)
- Laundry
- Bathing & showering
- Dressing (complete or minimal assist)
QUALIFICATIONS
- With valid CHHA certificate/license
- License to practice to New Jersey
- Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insured.
- High school graduate or any degree of education.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the assignment.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new programs.
