Position Summary
The Business Developer is responsible for executing all external outreach and referral generation activities for Compassionate Senior Care. This role is the face of the organization to hospitals, rehab centers, senior living communities, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on building authentic relationships that lead to client admissions.
Key Responsibilities

Referral Development & Outreach
- Identify, contact, and maintain relationships with key referral partners including discharge planners, case managers, social workers, physicians, and senior-focused organizations
- Conduct consistent field outreach, including cold drop-ins, facility visits, follow-ups, and scheduled presentations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all external referral relationships

Sales Execution & Strategy
- Collaborate with the Sales Director on goals, messaging, and growth strategy
- Coordinate closely with the Sales Coordinator and Client Coordinator to ensure smooth referral handoffs and tracking
- Monitor and report on referral trends, conversion rates, and outreach outcomes

Community Representation
- Represent Compassionate Senior Care at networking events, expos, community meetings, and senior services collaborations
- Plan and lead small referral-focused events such as Lunch & Learns, mixers, or facility appreciation drop-offs, in coordination with the Marketing Coordinator

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate outreach logs, contact lists, and referral status updates in CRM or designated tracking system
- Submit weekly performance reports and attend regular check-ins with the Sales Director
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, healthcare marketing, or business development
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare or senior care industry is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in the field
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Marion County and surrounding areas
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
