RN Home Health Care Alternate Administrator (PART TIME)

Position Summary:
The Alternate Administrator (RN) plays a critical leadership role within the organization by assuming the duties of the Administrator in their absence. This position ensures operational continuity, regulatory compliance, high-quality patient care, and effective staff management. The Alternate Administrator must be a licensed Registered Nurse with strong administrative, leadership, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Administrator during their absence, assuming full administrative authority and responsibility.
- Ensure the agency operates in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including patient care services, staffing, scheduling, and supervision of clinical and non-clinical personnel.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other clinical leaders to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and updated according to industry standards and regulatory changes.
- Serve as a liaison with physicians, families, referral sources, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention efforts.
- Address patient and family concerns in a professional, timely manner.
- Support the Administrator in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.
- MUST HAVE 2-4 YEARS OF HOME HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of [2–4] years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; home health, hospice, or long-term care experience preferred.
- At least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, ACHC, CHAP).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing audits, surveys, and compliance reviews.
- Prior experience as an Alternate Administrator or Clinical Manager in a licensed healthcare agency.
- Certification in healthcare administration or management (e.g., CHCE) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional travel to patient homes, facilities, or partner organizations.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, in emergency or on-call situations.
Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
